the game isnt the problem its sonys network, ive had my ps3 on 6 days straight downloading lbp2, infamous, and the other 2 14 gig games that are free. the problem is the playstations download manager it skips chunks of the file and then it becomes corrupted. i downloaded the battlefield3 trial 8 times and finally gave up. i also have a 30m fast connection. this is a well known issue, its also so known that sony has decided to not make ps4 all downloadable games at the moment and once again go with discs. youd think they would fix this issue because of the bandwidth its causing if someone downloads a game 12 times that is 14 gigs, im downloading like a thousand gigs from them just for one game it would make more sense for them to fix this stupid problem already. ive tried downloading everyway possible and even on a different ps3 and i cant get these games. i feel bad for the people who actually paid money. i paid for ps plus but heck that wasnt much

| Hello Christopher,Thank you for contacting Sony PlayStation® Support. My name is Antonio, and I apologize for any frustrations this may have caused. We may be able to correct this issue by deleting Game Data Utility for the games experiencing difficulty. •Go to the Game icon on the XrossMediaBar™ (XMB™)•Select Game Data Utility•Find the game title•Press triangle, then delete. You will then want to go into safe mode and restore the file system. •Turn off the PS3™ by holding the Power button until the power light turns red.•Press and hold the Power button until you hear 3 separate beeps (separated by about 5 seconds) and the power light goes from red to green and back to red.•Press and hold the Power button again. This time listen for 2 single beeps (separated by about 5 seconds), followed by a rapid double beep. As soon as you hear the double beep, release the power button. The light on your system will still be green if this is done properly.Plug your controller in with the USB cable and you will see a menu with six options. For this troubleshooting, please choose option 3.After you have completed these steps you will want to reinstall the game data using a wired connection. I have included a link below with instructions on how to use a wired connection with the PS3™. | Hi, Im currently having issues with respect to installing a game downloaded from your store. Particularly the game LA Noire. I have downloaded it serveral times before but have been unable to install it due a corrupt file issue. A message with the error code 80029564 pops up and its always around the time installation reaches 14%. I dont understand why this happens but i dont have a problem downloading other games or dlc's; even dlc's for this game for that matter. Could you kindly assist me with instructions as to how i can get this game to install properly. Ive tried going into safe mode and restoring file system; i have also tried inputting my ps3 mac address and ip address in to my router to check if i have download issues. They dont work, i continually end up with the same conclusion. Please help, I await patiently for a positive response. | |

I am having the same problem, but only with LA Noire no other games. Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age, Ratchet and Clank All 4 One, Red Faction Armageddon, tons and tons of BIG games download and install fine, never had this happen. However, the LA Noire Bundle, the DLC will install but NOT the game. Downloads fine, corrupt and error cose 80029564 at 14% of install everytime. I have tried safe mode, formatted my 1TB hard drive 5 times, and nothing. I have tried installing this game 10 times and nothing. After the recent format I had to redownload ALL of my games, 147 PSN games, and tons of DLC, and this is the ONLY item that doesn't work. 500gb of downloads work fine but not this game, so it is definetely not my network, connection, or system. I also tried downloading in background and the DNS settings, didn't do nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

I dont kno what happened but it downloaded and it installed. After all these months ive been failling to install the game it finally works. I started downloading it from my download list, and not from the store around 1 a.m this morning and left it downloading in the background. It finished downloading at 10:30 a.m this morning. And i dont think it makes a difference if u downloaded in the foreground or back ground because i did it both ways several times before. Nor did i change any DNS settings or reset my router. I cant say it is luck either. I can only say that maybe sony fixed it finally. Feel free to try it out again.
