PSN Games General

I would gladly pay $20 to be able to download these games along with many other PS2 titles. I know some of the older PS3 models have the backward compatibility but those are pretty rare these days. I have bought and downloaded 12 of the PSone classic games of the the Playstation Store and would definitely like to see some of the Playstation 2's Greatest Hits games on there.

My personal wish list for PS2 games on the Playstation Store are these:

Silent Hill 2 & 3, Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3, Final Fantasy X & XII, Gran Tursimo 3 & 4,  Devil May Cry 1 & 2, Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, God of War 1 & 2 (Even though they've already released the Blu-ray versions of these), Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 etc.......

The list goes on and on! I would gladly pay $10 - $20 for each of these! In my opinion Sony has nothing but money to make off of an idea like this. I WANT MY PS2 GAMES ON THE PLAYSTATION STORE!

that would be pretty awsome.....its pretty retarded ps3 isnt ps2 compatable...but most of the ones that were die a lot faster because the lasers produce a lot more heat.  That problem would be solved with a game download instead.  The ps store. should have more hd textured ps one games like the original call of duty.

It would depend on the games offered & the price of course, but yes, it would be nice to see.

P.S. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they offered it to PS Plus members only lol .

They should release an update that includes a PS2 emulator. This way you could play PS2 discs OR download PS2 games from the PSN - exactly the way PSone games work w/ PS3.

I would definitely pay $10-20 each to download MGS2, MGS3, RE Code Veronica, RE4, GTA 3, and Vice City.

That would be great. I would pay $20 also. Sony is missing out. They talked about how people still have a ps2 but some got rid of them and I haven't hear of a corporation that wouldn't do a little something extra to make more bank. They aren't going to get very far with Playstation Plus, but if they added PS2 games and cross game chat, they would have a more loyal fanbase

I wouldn't "Kill" to have PS2 Games on the PSN i'll wait though i know one day that PS2 Classic's will be on the PSN it is obvious and will eventually come

Do none of you realize that without backwards compatible PS3s you wouldn't be able to play PS2 games off of the PSN? Only older model PS3s play PS2 games.. Period... It has nothing to do with wether or not they are disc or download. They didn't remove the ability to read DVD, they removed the ability to read and play PS2 data. A PS2 section on the PSN would only benefit people with older PS3s.
