There's plenty of room for more Daisenryaku games, Folgore88...ALWAYS room for more. And for that matter, there's tons more room for Strategy games in general, which I think we all wholeheartedly agree on, especially on consoles. ![]()

...AND YET ANOTHER DELAY ANNOUNCEMENT FROM SYSTEMSOFT ALPHA
This morning SystemSoft Alpha finally gave us the first news of any kind since April regarding DSP HD's Japanese version...to inform us that the game will be delayed until Fall 2012...you guessed it..."to further improve the quality of the product".
The good news is that the game hasn't been completely canned...yet. The bad news is that this is indeed beginning to have serious Duke Nukem Forever vibes.
Sorry everyone; I wish I had better news to report. Sadly, the wait goes on...

In more positive news, today the standalone expansion/sequel to Wargame: European Escalation, Wargame: AirLand Battle was announced. It features Aircraft (150, to be exact), 4 New nations, and more diverse units that brings the total to 750. Also included are new campaigns and Multiplayer Maps set in Scandinavia. It is due to be released in Spring 2013.

I've been hearing a lot of positive things about Wargame: European Escalation, Chester26745. I'll definitely have to check it out when I get the chance. Thanks for sharing the new info!

I would have bought the game by now except for the fact that there is no demo version to try out (at least not on steam and $40 is a lot to spend on an whim) and my PC still needs to be upgraded with an actual graphics card and a more potent power supply, these will be absolutely necessary if I want to play Company of Heroes 2 when it comes out but I'll stick to what I have for now and I will probably have the necessary funding when the time comes thanks to the money I received from my birthday gifts over the past several weeks.

Yeah, 2013 is shaping up to be a great year for strategy gamers.

I'm also looking forward to XCOM: Enemy Unknown which is coming out in October and other various games over the next few months.

Well since it has been rather slow around this message board for awhile I though I'd put forth my Idea for a possible DSP mod or shall we say some extra production factions for the game. I think it would be interesting to have the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod from the Command & Conquer series, both sides play very differently and have a number of different eras (late 1990s, 2030, 2047 and 2077) shall we say and the earliest of these could be created with existing ingame units with a minimal number of custom units required to make these factions and leaves room for a little creativity in the unit rosters as both factions had numerous bases all over the globe and could allow for different regions within eras (for instance having USA, UK and EU regions for the GDI and Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe regions for Nod). I know not everyone who visits or post here likes the C&C series and it's RTS "click fest" style of gameplay but as I have said many times previously that I enjoy many different game genres and I've been playing games from this series ever since I played the original Command & Conquer on the PS1 when I was 10 (I still have both the game and the console and they still work!) and I also think that C&C 3; Tiberium Wars is one of the best RTS titles of the series if not the entire RTS genre. I also realize that to create such a mod might require at least some tacit approval from EA games and some kind of disclaimer stating something along the lines; "The units and factions depicted in this mod are the sole intellectual property of Electronic Arts and this mod may not be distributed for profit".
PS; yes I know that setting up all the faction eras and regions would be daunting and time consuming but this is just an interesting what if idea.
