How do you know thatSmiley Indifferent?

Althought the socket type is the same, that doesn't mean the BIOS supports the processor.

uh, sorry i misread. the processor wont work for it.

you can always just upgrade the motherboard for a couple hundo

Actually, most mobos are $70-$130Smiley Wink

oh ....im cunfused....so uhh....what is a mobo?

motherboard. its the main piece of the computer. its the thing that has all yur RAM and processor and other cards and such

so if i upgrade the motherboard the proccesor will fit?

if you buy the right type, yes.

but it seems as though you dont know much about motherboards so if i were you i would just get yur PC custom built by dell at dell.com

or have someone install the new mobo and crapforyou
