heres the spec sheet for that model's motherboard
 
socket 775, same as the processor


The BIOS often doesn't.

Lol sorry for being off topic but my thread is dead, does anyone know if I need a driver for my motherboard components like LAN, for vista, I already got drivers for my video card and sound card.

wanted to but i want a gateway computer and the one that comes with it is $3000....plus they dont ship to canada....

if you buy the right type, yes.
 
but it seems as though you dont know much about motherboards so if i were you i would just get yur PC custom built by dell at dell.com
 
or have someone install the new mobo and crapforyou
