I kinda read a little on this when I was in a medical library and due to the fact that your wife has a short birth canal, the fetus is putting pressure on her and it would cause preterm labor and birth. So don't think your wife's trying to be pampered for the heck of it, she really does need bedrest. BTW congrats on the baby.

Congrats on the baby man!  But, keep in mind that you are talking to mostly 12-15 year olds here who don't have even the slightest clue as to what you are talking about.  Once again, congrats!

First, congratulations on becoming a Father! It is truly a blessing! I have 2 boys myself.

Yes, I have heard of this before, very serious. I belive that the stitiching of the uterus is a fairly common thing, though I am not sure about it being this early in the pregnancy. Please keep her as stress free as possible, and let her have her rest.

I know that it is a little early, but do you have any idea of what the baby's sex is?

Hmm, after consoltation with my wife, she told that my sister in law had to have the same thing done (3rd pregnancy) and the procedure was done at about the same time in the pregnancy as your wife's. Good luck with it, and keep us up to date.

Yes I have. Your wife will probably not have a baby the regular way like others do, but maybe a C-section because her uterus is small. Some doctors won't have your wife doing the a regular birth because it will damage her. Don't worry with a lot of bed rest she'll be find.
