For you Whovians out there, which episodes do you guys recommend me? I want to give the series a try but I don't think I'm going to watch all of them.

No point watching all of them. The series started decades ago. 


I just did research on Doctor Who. It turns out that several episodes from the original series ended up missing because of bad storage placement. I guess I'll watch the current series starting with season 1 to see how it plays off.

That's the point. It doesn't take it self too seriously. If I wanted something overly dramatic, I'd watch a Christopher Nolan movie.

I would recommend starting with the 2005 series, as that`s when Doctor Who came back, and it`s also made so new people can easily get into the show without being lost.

 

Also, the special was really good.

The 1996 television movie with Paul McGann is also a good stand alone feature.
