That's usually the case most of the time, depending on your rep and courtesy.

Like, I'm known as the kid who can read/write/speak/translate Japanese so everyone comes to me for that.
I'm generally a nice guy but if someone is just being plain retarded, rude, or cheesy about something**, I'll give it the response it needs.

**(such as the "typical noob")

I only studied basic (SUPER BASIC!) Japanese and Kanji.

I'm 50-50 on this. While although it is common for high posters get more respect, doesn't mean the lower doesn't get it as well. I've seen valid threads from lower posters.

I think the veterans tend to recognize each other, as do the regulars. For example, I recognized people in this thread such as Overclocked Cellist, Whit3boy, Cobra Girl, KizzerDrix, Str8 Jacket, and a few others because I see them here regularly and have seen a few people that I remember when I joined in 2005.

well i think it depends on how well they post and their answers, if someone has 25000 and all they do is just spam and not contibute to the thread then i guess its not respect

Nah, not really. I do not judge people by post count. I judge them by quality of their posts.

However, I do find that people with a higher post count are either

a) complete morons and spammers
b) experienced and smart members of the boards

I do not determine which is the poster until I've seen a few of the person's posts .

Hmmmm, what about grammar and punctuation and spelling, look at my first posts.
I don't quite get it why people are much older than me and they can't even type right.
I am freaki'n 13, i just turned 13, and i can type much better than people that are 18 here.
Wow, just wow.

thats because most of the people on this site do not really care about the grammer. As long as u can read what i am trying to say, its alright by me

I got reported again it looks like by cobra girl (mini mod)!  She has quiet a bit of posts, yet really annoying person.
I PM some noobs, also that I like. I just like nice people.  Hate wannabe mods, because they're brown nosers!

If I were you I would:

a) Stop harassing people through the PM system.
b) Stop singling people out by name.
c) Be careful who you pick on. Karma can come back to get you.

Thanks.
