I think so. But I live in the Playstation 3 general where I have to deal with like 5435345384534 thousand people that have less than 100 posts and it gets very vexing

I look at join date as well as post count. Like I feel someone who joined in 06' has less seniority then someone who joined in 05' down, even if they have already reached their 1 year mark. Also post count. No specific numbers or anything. Higher posts means they spend more time here.

I'll respect anyone that respects me regardless of post count or seniority

Nah, not really. I do not judge people by post count. I judge them by quality of their posts.

However, I do find that people with a higher post count are either

a) complete morons and spammers
b) experienced and smart members of the boards

I do not determine which is the poster until I've seen a few of the person's posts .

Because said members feel more familiar with the older members.

Well, I don't really pay attention to higher post counts just to respect. I only respect members that are very nice to others.

Personally, I go with the quality of the postings and the attitudes of the poster's.  At the same time, I treat other's the way I would like to be treated no matter what the post count is.
