Yes.  When I was younger we had a garden in the backyard that grew these (the chinese version).  It grew on a vine. I never knew what they were called until now lol.  I used to pick these as a kid and throw them around like grenades lol.  Still today I've never cooked with them personally.

I've never seen one before, but I'm guessing that somewhere in this crazy country of mine, those are available.

I dont think so maybe the small health  food stores or market , they have them. stuff like that is too expensive for  major supermarket to ship and buy. I think the  rule it has more than one use or be in popular demand  for it be in the supermarket in the states.Thats the way   learned it. Btw i have not seen a  green one like that before, i have seen yellow and red in the middle

My supermarket have some international food we have food we sell in north America & food out of north America so most supermarket have international section I have a market that sell just international food like Indian Japanese Filipino etc but I prefer the one with the international section We buy seaweed there or Asian Sachima there we mostly buy dorayaki or cassava cake yummy ^O^
