Putting your songs on someone else's computer is technically not allowed but what u do is you

Go to Folder Options > Show Hidden Files and Folders > Connect iPod > DONT UPDATE ON ITUNES > Go to My Computer > Open iPod Folder > Go to Music Folder inside the iPod > Drag all thats in there into a folder on the computer.

You're gonna need iTunes to read those files you dragged out to know what the names of the songs are.

1. You are wrong, all you have to do is go to settings and select "Manually Manage My Music", you do not need any extra software
2. I have a Nano and I only have one gallery because that is all I put on to it, so I am not too sure about that one

1.) ACTUALLY, YOU are WRONG. Go try and put some of your songs onto SOMEONE ELSE's computer using itunes and let's see what happens ...
