ok so i got a new ps3 controller and when im using my left analog stick to run forward or move or whatever ill hav it pressed forward all the way in the same spot and randomly my guy will just stop moving or will go really slow or will stop running and i want to know what i can do to fix this? i am comfortable with opening my controller to adjust or modify whats needed to fix it. a response with a video tutorial will be highly appreciated or if its a written response tutorial, i want it completely over detailed as if i were an idiot that way i can be completely sure i dont mess up anything, thanks

It's not advisable to just start tearting apart the controller. Especially considering it's basically just trial and error.

Have you tried resetting the controller first? There's a small button on the front of the Dualshock 3, and if you put a small object in it, and press it, that will reset the controller.

Reset Button

Then you re-pair the controller with the system.
