well i wanted a ps3 at first and i still do want one but i am considering to get a 360 instead because of price and avalablilty. but anyways my questions are:

1. how does the 360 hook up to the internet? do you just connect to a wireless network, or do you have to connect it with cables?
2. how much does xbox live cost?
3. are there any significant differences between the 360 and ps3?

1. you can either connect it with the ethernet cables they give you or buy the $100 wireless adaptor for it, (though I read you could use a wireless adaptor from the xbox too)
2. $50 a year
3. IMO, better games, well put together online service, and nice design.

XBL is so awesome, its worth every penny!

The only major differences are the 360 has a ton of great games and the graphics/Framerates in 360 games are Much better and are going to stay that way because the 360 is every developers main platform and the games will be ported to the PS3.

Dont forget that all the PS3 exclusives are going to be better than Multiplatofrm games though.

so you can only buy the adapter on ebay? they do not sell it in stores?

No, they sell it in stores but it goes for 80-100$

On ebay, I found a wholesaler and I got it for 45$ after shipping.

Or, you can buy the original XBOX wireless adapter for like 25$ and use that.

Their the same on mutliplatform titles.  And actually, there are quite a few PS3 titles that are ported onto the 360 (Assassins Creed, Stranglehold, etc).
