According to Next Generation, the Japanese game-maker is organizing a probe into problems with the Nintendo Wii strap. As you probably know, the strap on the Wii's next-gen motion sensing controller has been known to break, causing the untethered joystick to fly through the air and (hopefully) smash into expensive plasma televisions and people's dumb faces.
"'We are investigating," Nintendo's president Satoru Iwata said. "Some people are getting a lot more excited than we'd expected. We need to better communicate to people how to deal with Wii as a new form of entertainment.''
Also, GoNintendo is reporting the replacement Wii straps are stronger
