ok then... this is what you do to be safe as possible, plug in your removable disk. Go into My Computer>Right Cick the removable disk drive>click properties> click tools tab> Click Check Now... > check both boxes and click start

no it will not cause anyharm to your computer I understand.... you don't want ur comp to crash.
 
You can do this, when you ti.....wait..... how big is your hdd?

hmmm... it didnt do anything, once i clicked start it just closed...nothing else...and i have no iidea how biog my hdd is. and thank you thank you thank you for the help

have you tried every computer and all the USB ports and the computers will not recgonize your device?
