Your Crazy Christmas Traditions

18 replies 1 views Edited Dec 1, 2006
This one, ladies and gentlemen, is going to be interesting.

TELL ME,

what are some of your crazy christmas traditions?

one of my favourite ones is watching that crazy christmas lights video every year

also, mixing chocolate syrup with egg nog to create Chocolate Nog is both exciting and disgusting

Each year we have a raffle.  There is a biiiig group of straws, 17 this year to be exact (One for every current member of our family this year).  So, every year, we all draw one straw.  But the trick is, one of them is shorter than the rest.  It is always very exciting.  Whoever draws the shortened straw is the chosen one.  We then take that family member out back, and stone them to death.

None of them are crazy... but, basically, one of the biggest ones that I can share here is opening one of my presents a day early...

Nothing really odd,

on Xmas eve-
  1. Go to my uncles/aunts house for a soup dinner (It's a family gathering)
  2. talk for a while
  3. open presents
  4. at midnight go to church
  5. come home (we stay the nights at my grandmas which is only 15 mins from my aunts house)
Xmas day-

  1. last year we didnt go to the 6:30 am service but we usually did.
  2. then we would have a lunch at noon
  3. talk untill about 5:00 pm
  4. have a dinner
  5. talk more untill 7:00ish
  6. say goodbye
  7. go home
  8. arrive home at about 8:45 or 9:00
  9. Open our presents
  10. Sleep.
See nothing too weird.
