Yeah...I use my gaming console for gaming. Use a few common apps. I'm set knowing the graphics and performance of my games are the best consoles can deliver. Thrilled with what is going to happen once unified gddr5 RAM is fully tapped. Nice and simplistic, too.

I'm not too bothered about it honestly. The PS4's gonna be the ultimate gaming console, that's what I use my Playstation system for anyways. As long as I'm getting major improvements to gaming then I'm happy, and seeing what the PS4 has to offer it'll surely deliver, hands down.

I think you can find some lower cost products If you are looking for the features you listed. Maybe a smart bluray player.

Getting Older doesn't mean it's GAME OVER
It's a better idea to buy games for your PS4
Than to buy a New Console for your PS4

That way I look at it is this.

I don't care what it is to you, all that matters is what it is to me.

To me its an home entertainment device, not just a gaming console.

Its my bluray player.

It streams music and video from my home network and delivers it to my living room.

It allows me to store and play video and music locally if I I choose to do so.

I can play CD's from my PS3 if I choose to do so.

I use these features and put value on them.  Why take a step back with the new gen console?

If I want a game console, Microsoft can provide me with that.

You can argue until you are blue in the face as to why it doesn't need this or that but the fact of the matter is a lot of us value those features and enjoy using them.  New gen, less features doesn't make sense.

Why don't we take out Netflix while we're at it?  Its a gaming console afterall, not a movie player.

Lets remove remote play, don't need that right?

How about PSN?  Don't need that to play a game disc.

Lets strip this ferrari down into a Corolla.

That's the thing I have a problem with the PS4.  Something basic like MP3 playback.  The one thing I was jealous of the MS consoles was the ability to play your own music during games.  Custom soundtracks.

There's 3 current games I play on PS3 (SSf4, GT5, TTT2) that use the custom soundtrack feature.  It may not matter to some of those who don't care about music and say "Buuuut PS4 is 4 gamez" blah blah".

Like if your not going to allow us to play our own music, why not take away Netflix and Hulu while you're at it?  If its all about the "gaemz".

Don't get me wrong, the whole MP3 thing is not a deal breaker for me.  I'm going to purchase a PS4 regardless.  It's just disappointing that a simple feature like this is being stripped.

Just my 2 gill.

Good for Microsoft!

Sony is obviously trying to shove Music Unlimited down on us PlayStation gamers on PS4. We gave Sony leeway with PS Plus being mandatory for online play and now this Music Unlimited service is being made mandatory for in-game music. Enough is enough! We must stand up to Sony's greed just like ppl did to Microsoft.

Like I said before you give a corporation an inch and they try to take a mile!
