Re: Xbox One Discussion

A few questions about from what I saw.

Not really impress with the design but that is just me. Okay so is 8GB a standard now? Isn't there some sort of Patent when it comes to specs? Meaning you can't have the same parts in the box?

Also I thought Sony Aquired Gaikai for cloud gaming? Why is the Xbox One featuring cloud services? I thought that was Sony;s selling point during their reveal? It seems like Xbox just copy and pasted everything Sony was doing?

Thanks,

Voice activation eh?

SO if I am playing a game, and my Wife is in the other room.  I am in the middle of some intense online action, and my squad is about to take a pivotal spot on the map.  My interaction is CRUCIAL>

Wife;  "what are you watching".

Me;  "I am not watching TV..." System switches from the game to the TV.  Objective lost.....

Or...

"I am not watching TV (switch), I am playing a game (switch)"  "What the... The game keeps turning off (SYSTEM SHUTS OFF)"  xD

Got to love that voice activation. Wife gets **bleep** off at husband and then commands turn on Days of our Lives!

Re: what do you guys think of the new xbox one?

I'm a Sony man, I own every console they released, portables included and my next phone will be an Xperia, and I want to keep my relation to Microsoft to a minium - need to basis.

But I read about the snap thing which allow you to do 2 things at once on the screen, like Skype and browsing. That'S pretty cool. I'd like the PS4 to do that too.

Somebody asked why their third console is called Xbox one? Because it has taken them three times to try to get it right (they hope).

Sony "copied" their online network and trophies.

Microsoft "copied" Sony's cloud functionality.

Now they're even.

Engadget has a comparison chart for the 2 systems and they left out 3d 4k support for the PS4 but made sure it was listed with the Xbox1 . http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/21/xbox-one-xbox-360-ps4-comparison/

@FreshRevenge: The difference is the type/speed of that 8GB RAM. Sony is supposed to be using 8GB of a faster type of RAM compared to the slower kind rumored for MS's console and before Sony's reveal, they were only rumored to have 4GB of that faster RAM which from what I understood, would still give MS's 8 a run for it's money depending on the OS needs.

Cloud use isn't something that's exclusive. Sony bought Gaikai who have experience/built their company around the tech and delivering games with it compared to what MS is currently saying they're using their cloud aspect for.
