Which to buy first...hm...

9 replies 14 views Edited Jan 3, 2007
Should I buy a wide screen monitor for $300 or a video card (x1950pro 256mb) and a power supply for 270? I dont know which to buy! I want to play Vanguard: Sega of Heroes (better then wow), Quake Assault and armed assault. They both have a projected Q1 2007 launch around feb-march so I leaning towards buying the monitor first and then the video card in the beginning of Feb. What do you think?

Power supply prices and quality dont' change that much but Video card do. Dude we are in 2007, wait for video cards, ATI is comming out with the R600 then Nvidia with the G81 and all mid range DX10 cards are comming out. Wait for those.

This video card I am buying will just hold me over until more dx10 cards come out for me to choose from. I'm not in a rush to buy Vista and play games on dx10. It is pci-e and I don't know the exact power supply but it doesn't meet the standards for the video card.

Get the powersupply first then the Monitor then the Graphics card. The video card is going to be a waste of money, GPU technology is going to change very fast this year. Why not lcd first? Because the prices of those are dropping too but not as much as powersupply.
