When is a $10.00 tip not enough?

When is a $10.00 tip not enough?

The order below was for 85 pizzas, the total bill came to $1,453.93, the customer tipped $10.00, that's around .0069% of the total bill!

I discussed this with my wife before coming here to ask you guys what you all thought, & although we always tip somewhere between 10% & 15% we decided that for something like this we would probably have given the driver somewhere around $100.00.

Maybe the manager of the pizza place should have agreed a delivery charge/tip before accepting the order?

So everyone, my question to you all is what would you have given the driver?

That may be correct but it was not the question, surely they deserved a tip rramsdell, so back to my question, what would you tip?

Its your own discretion.

Tipping is a privilege and it should be reminded to all companies about that. Some forget and if you don't tip. You might not get served, which is wrong. 100$ isn't that bad for what was ordered.

The drivers pay for that and it comes out of their own pockets. Most people don't know that. Probably why the tip came off wrong. He/she was trying to make up for it at least.

For example: I always give a little more when I get my hair cut and didn't realize I was. I've been going to the same one for years. Its only like an extra dollar extra, no biggie. But, he's very professional. Won't let anyone else cut my hair except him.

You didn't have to tip at all...but everybody loves pizza and don't tick the pizza guy off LOL. 100$ tip isn't that bad. He paid for it out of his own pocket at first.

I don't mind tipping... been doing it all my life. I usually try and tip around 15% when I dine in a restaurant, get delivery or if I need a cab somewhere.

Reminds me of when I was in Australia last year and I tried tipping this one cab driver and he just looked at me and was like, "This is too much." I said, "It's for you" he said, "Why?" So I took the money back and then found out later that they don't tip there.
So if anyone doesn't like tipping move to Australia.

On the forums here I hit my kudos all the time.

Out in the world I'm a respectful tipper.   I would never order that much but if I did it would be more than a ten dollar tip...that is a lot of pizza and work to carry it all.  At 4 dollars a gallon for gas that just isn't a very decent tip.

I ordered a large Regina's pizza tonight, the total with the drink was a little more than $16, I gave them a $20 and said keep the change.

I am NOT Mr. Pink, put in your dollar!

Always tip a dancer, especially if you had her

Never avoid that. That's not cool.

For that order I would have given between $20 and $50, to be honest. I don't mind tipping but don't go by percentages. If I order a regular pizza, I usually tip $5-$10.

Then again I was raised in a family that always said "Just give me enough for a drink." when someone offered to pay full price for a service.

I just tip when going to resturants. But I go off how good of an experience I had.

But from knowing some people working at some places, always try to leave cash, not coins. And when your leaving a tip from your CC, most if the time the tip will go towards the fee to charge that CC in the first place.

BRIT, I would say $250 for the tip.
