Thanks for the link, FJ! I'll check it out soon.
I'll be 40 come June! Time goes by just too damn fast. Especially
I think when we remember the memories of things we'd been through,
and then think " did that really happen 30+ years ago?. It's crazy. lol
Humanity seems to want change as the decades go by. Kids get
bored of the same old music, and don't want to listen to what
their parents did. Technology is a massive money maker, so
there's no way the big game companies will stop trying to
It's harder to keep up with the present as we age, I believe.
Just a normal part of life.
Yeah, I suppose. It just seems the more we progess, the more everything amalgamates. Maybe one day we'll have one device...just one device, and that's it.
Laundry? Device. Dishes? Device. Girlfriend? Device. Transport? Device. Shelter? Device.
I'll buy the rocking chairs if you provide the porch. I make some damn fine iced tea.
A robotic, hot woman who can drive, be your maid and lover, pop toast and make pizza in her
Now that's the kind of device I'd be willing to spend some dough on... if I could afford it! lol
It just occured to me recently, that the first ever game I played on a computer was Tic Tac Toe. The Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago used to have one of those huge, room filling computers when I was a kid. I went there on a field trip when I was like 5 or 6, and was able to beat it. Computers were that bad back then.
Ah, when will they bring back punch card readers for computers? I so want to play that version of Skyrim.
...yipe! ...the number of people who responded with Pong is somewhat amazing, considering that I would expect a forum like this to be dominated by younger users...I go back even further than Pong ...I played a lot of pinball games (they were still 100% electromechanical) in my high school years (1969-72)...I actually didn't think all that much of Pong--even when it was new and 'revolutionary'...
...a few years back, I had a MAME program on my old AMD K6 PC with a whole slew of early- to mid-80s video games...I may still have that hard drive somewhere...
