I have always wanted to buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and I finally will soon. However, I'm wondering what the difference is between this and the new tab 2. For some reason I can only find 10.1 vs Ipad etc comparisons. I'm under the impression that the original 10.1 will get an update to Android 4.0 right? If not, I will choose for the tab 2. I really like the look of the original 10.1 though.
So, what's new with the tab 2? Should I buy that or the original?
Really, the only difference between the Galaxy Tab and the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is that the Galaxy Tab 2 runs Ice Cream Sandwich--Android's 4.0 OS (more details here)--and is slightly redesigned, with speakers in the front Other than that, there's barely any difference and are pretty much identical.
To answer your question, just get the Galaxy Tab unless you want the Galaxy Tab 2 because of its ability to run Ice Cream Sandwich
