It normally means the numbers can be pressed on the keypad.....I lock mine cause otherwise it calls out on it's own in my pocket.

You can use any service or any SIM card on it.

i think it means you can push the buttons freely so it doesnt dial in your pocket (if you dont have a flip/ slide phone)....as was said by cnn boy

Yeah. Mine has a mind of its own and sends e-mails all the time unless I lock it.

LMAO I like how you act like your right
But no tha post above me is right.
Example: You have a Razr on tmobile service and then a year later u switch to cingular. In order to use that tmobile razr you have to unlock it to be able to use that phone on the cingular service

Any wireless phone service can be used with it, it is not "locked" only to one service such as T-mobile. These types of phones are mostly soled by the original maufuncturer, ebay, or some special stores.

You can use any Wireless provider you want that uses GSM technology Companies like T Mobile, Cingular, Beyond Wireless, Alltel
