Car stories

Apr 19, 2013

All we have is one lonely horrid 2005 Chevy Suburban --I'm so sick of it. We got it Used and it was TOO used for my tastes, but then, I don't really drive it, my husband is a pig about driving, even though I LOVE driving and drive more agressively, yet safely, than him.

IF he lets me drive he holds on for dear life. Guess what everyone has to do when HE drives. We are just used to it. He's such a baby about it. (He has preconcieved notions about everything, but knows better, and if he reads this ever, not likely, but IF he does, he should take all this with a humorous grain of salt, but I know it'll cause World War Umpteenth.)

My dear Toyota Tercel was traded in years ago for a Pontiac Montana that was supposed to be "mine" and the "family" vehicle, but at that time my 94 Honda Civic became what my husband drove to work and it fell apart under his care and sat on the side of the driveway until a couple of years ago, when the Montana was ALSO a piece of falling apart junk because that is what "he" drove for years all over the place and ruined it.

So we had gotten the Suburban, and I told him to call that guy that has signs all over the place to haul away that Montana and he'll give us some $ for the priveledge.

That happened. All along my hubby promised to get my Civic fixed up. Never happened. It was such an issue to me that I just finally threw in the towel and got a few hundred for it's precious bulk self. Smiley Sad

I don't have anywhere much to go alone, so it doesn't "matter" that I don't have my own ride, but I know it's WHY I have nowhere to go, because I DON'T have my own car anymore.

As soon as I lost privelage with my Honda being my one and only, that's when it all ended for me. I'm begging for a Challenger or an old used Porche. (Eventually something will happen!)

I really, really wanted to get a Honda 919, but couldn't part with the VFR.  It'll just have to stay

Ehh why 848? I mean I can see getting the monster by the 848? You might as well go for the 1199 panigale. I mean I know it costs more but it's lighter, more powerful and from all the reviews, really awesome.

If I were going to get a naked, I would go for a Triumph street triple or speed triple.

The weight difference isn't signicant, I don't want a big engine and cost is an issue. I spend enough money on cars.

Plus, its what I want. I don't care whats "better"..... If the Panigale is better than the 848, then they should just get rid of all their Superbikes except the 1199's.

Thats like someone telling me to get a Hayabusa after telling them I'm thinking of getting a GSXR600

I never used the word "better" in my post. I'm just saying it seems more logical but whatever floats your boat. Besides, the Busa and 600 are two way different bikes.
