I just got my compputer repaired from a shop and i currently dont have a Windows XP installation cd.

No, how do i do that?


Do you have the driver CDs, they would of came with your computer unless you got it from some big store, and in that case im not sure if they would include them. You could also check your motherboard's website. You can find out the motherboard you have by downloading the program called Everest.

I got my computer from a big store. Can you give me a link to the Everest website. Google gives me - Mount Everest and Window glazing crap

My Computer>>Properties>>Hardware>>Device Manager
Check to see if your computer is detecting your sound card, if it is check that it has a driver.
If it isn't you might wanna use add new hardware wizard.
And if i got the location of device manager wrong my bad, im using an old computer right now.

Add new hardware doesn't find anything.

No, but it detects any hardware you might not have configured with the system.
