Using Wifi on the PS3

7 replies 202 views Edited Sep 23, 2012

If your account gets banned, can you use Wifi?  My cell phone is turned off right now and the other day, I installed Wifi on it, to access my internet and it worked, even though my net has been turned off.

If you get banned and get on Wifi on the PS3, would the over ride the ban?  LOL

No: they ban your account, not your IP.

You can still play On alt accounts, but not thë account that you got banned on.

Really, **bleep**, thought that would work.  Weird how it works on my cell phone and my cell is off because I haven't paid the bill, all I care about is to be able to accee the net, and it works using Wifi LOL.

Do you mean banned from PSN or banned from your Internet provider?

Ban from the PSN, because if you install Wifi, I'm not sure if that would over ride the ban. It worked on my cell phone and my net was off. So I installed Wifi and I got my net package back.

WiFi doesn't override any suspension or ban. It's just a way of connecting to the internet without a cord. The PlayStation Network server still sees you as banned. You have to wait out your suspension.
