U.S. government

19 replies 6 views Edited Dec 16, 2006
Do any of you think that there are too many laws or regulations that no one can even begin to follow them?

example: The EPA has 10,000 pages of regulation. Federal statutes and formal rules now total 100 million words.
-also, I belive that OSHA at one point has some 41 regulations on ladders down to the type of grain to use.

I think these laws are way too long and counter productive.

I don't know much about other governments but I don't think any could be as bogged down as the US law / bureaucratic process.

"the US Department of Defense spends 2 billion dollars on travel and 2.2 billion on processing the paperwork"  hmmm something is wrong.
