Re: Thinking about trading in my 360 for a PS3.

Well if you're having quality issues, get it fixed by MS. If you still want to sell it, I suggest selling it to a friend or to someone in person, as the stores will rip you off. If I were you, though, I'd get it fixed (only if its under warranty) then play it until the fall when MGS comes out, THEN sell it if you still want to. Otherwise I'd be bored with the game selection.

No more than any other console.

More like a shortage of games. That's why people are complaining about it. If you want a lot of cheap but good games, get a PS2. Plus Sony is losing money whenever you buy a PS3 so you do them a favor if you get a PS2. If you were me then I'd wait about a year to see if the PS3 has a comparable line-up to that of the 360.

Well then, assuming he has a PS2, he wouldn't need a PS3 right now, would he? I mean if all the games are PS1/2 games.

PS1 games or PS2 games it DOES NOT MATTER. there playstation games.

And a PS3 is a playstation so PS1 and PS2 games count and thats it.

Could you explain why he should get a PS3, what advantages it has over the 360, and why it'll be a good investment? And yes, it does roughly have ~20 games.
