Sorry if this is old.
 
Sony wants Wii controllers? It sure looks to be. Was the six axis an afterthought? Your guess is as good as mine.

The good thing about the industry competition is that they fight for lower prices, more fun, capability, and hardware. Their focus is on selling more, and the only way they sell more is for it to be fun and innovative. In the end, the gamers win.
