Well anyways would anyone wanna chat about oblivion, state your stuff about your char, give some pointers and noob* tips and what not??

1. DO NOT PAY for the Horse Armor.
2. The thieves guild will save you alot of money if you like to randomly steal from or kill people.
3. The Dark Brotherhood is IMHO the best quest line in the game. It breaks the cookie cutter "go here, kill him, grab this item"  monotony a few times Plus you get some awesome items.
4. Get the Wizards Tower. It will help alot.
5. Lock Picks are invaluable when you are starting out. Horde them.

Also do the Skeleton Key quest as soon as you can (level 10, maybe?) that starts at the Shrine of the Noctournal.  It's an unbreakable lockpick, easily one of the most useful things in the game.

yeah but then you can't gain levels in lockpick.  Just join the thieve's guild and you can buy the picks by the 100's for real cheap.

Well I had done a whole lot of breaking and entering before level 10, so I could easily open them by the time I got the skeleton key.  Besides, you could always just click auto-attempt until it opens if you don't want to pick every one.

Oh, you know that really long bridge that extends out from Imperial City that's made of stone and has lots of fires on either side?  Go across that and on your left will be a house.  Wait until night time, sneak in, and 2-shot that fool.

you can store your stuff in any barrel or chest you find laying around.....make a marker if it something important, but for the most part you can remember if you rented a room somewhere and dropped a few items in a chest to sell later on.

Actually you can only do that if your only leaving it there for a little while. Most non-player owned chests/barrels/etc. refresh every 3 in game days. Which means that everything in the chest is replaced with something new.

DO NOT put anything of importance in a random chest.

I realize that this is my 3rd consecutive post, but you can also just leave things in the street.  I still walk past things that I dropped back when I was level 1 in Imperial City.

True, if you throw something on the street, it is more likely to still be there, than if you put it in a random loot chest.

I love Oblivion, with all of my heart. I am a level 15 Redguard. I focus mainly on Fighting, and I am in the Dark Brotherhood. I live in the Wizard's Tower (marketplace download) and I have full Orcish armor. So...ya.

How?  Just reload it to before then, because that's the best way to get money in the game.  Just break into the jewelry store in Imperial City, clean out the entire thing, then go see your current fence.  Repeat.
