Teenager thrown in a violent New York prison without ever having been convicted?

9 replies 189 views Edited Nov 24, 2013

Man, it's crazy that a 16 year old spent 3 years in a notorious prison for being accused by a stranger claimed that he robbed him without ever knowing one another.

This is corrupted beyond belief! I feel bad for him that he had to go through all that **bleep** for no reason and not even recieve an apology for such a huge mistake. Now he's at a very bad position and I hope he gets eveything back and never have problems like this ever again. He's brave that he kept his hopes up to get the hell out of there.

Yea that's really, really bad. They didn't even bother to check up on whether he had a record or even if there were other suspects that could say whether or not he was actually the one who committed the crime.

He was thrown in jail, not prison.

And the fact that the DA office was located in the Bronx pretty much explained everything.

I've heard about them on tv before when the news broke about their release. That's even worse Smiley Sad. They went ahead and put them in prison just because of the way they acted, dressed and the music they listened to. Way to be prejudicial.
