Sound Card Question

Im wondering if my sound card is 5.1 capable, model number is Ct4780. Any help is appreciated

yes, im pretty sure all sound blasters are 5.1 compatible

Thats a Sound Blaster Live! Value. Which ISN'T 5.1 capable.
 
That card is old as sin. There isn't even any support from Creative for it anymore. You can get a better card, like a Chaintech AV-710, for less than $30.

Look at these, i got a rivera from circuit city and it is sweet, works great with my zen vid with its software

Probably the best "consumer only" card out there. Blows away Creative cards in terms of sound quality, but not as good as the expensive "Emu" line which is designed for "professionals". It's not as good as some of the more expensive cards based on the same chipsets, like the M-Audio Revolution... but for about 1/5 of the price, its a better deal.
