Great Story Nice Job!
P.s. Pay off the credit card and cancel it right after. But when credit bureaus look at your credit history they see all these one time credit card uses and it looks bad.
Look man Forget about all that junk. I understand your credit report can be important but you people seem to lace too much importance on it. Did you ever notice everything is bad for your credit report. You just cant win. Running credit apps is bad but not running any is bad. Paying off your debt is bad but not paying it off is bad. Having credit is bad and not having any is bad. And incase you missed the last 10 years and the housing bubble your credit report really isnt worth the paper its reported on. Its a joke and a bunch of BS. LIVE YOUR LIFE!! Oh Yeah! AND PAY WITH CASH!!!!
As I don't yet own my own home, and with house prices shooting up, I would rather not damage my credit rating.
Although the impression I got was that keeping with one credit card for about a year on a 56 day interest free from each purchase, then paying off each time, you're not hurting your finances but doing your credit rating a massive favour. Then switching to the best deal after a year or so is up wouldn't do a lot of damage to it.
Of course I'm not talking about paying off one credit card with another, that's just daft.
