this is the smart key for a 2009 Camry..

this is some else's car.. not mine..

never had a car with smart key before. .and from first glance. i don't want to do anything that might cause damage to it..

i can remove the key from the device..

but not sure how to take the cover off to access the battery..

**at the moment.. have no idea which battery is needed either...

anyone here replaced something similar?

thanks

Some of the Key Fobs available need to be reprogrammed by the local dealer after the battery replacement and a bit of a theft deterrent. But other than that, the batteries are relatively easy to replace.

My key fob on my veloster had to be reprogrammed by the dealer after I replaced the battery in the key fob.

I see the Off-Topic boards as a place for things like "Look at my cat in this sweater" not for real topics. It seems to be it would be easier to google or go to an appropriate forum. I think you just enjoy starting topics.

Here you go. I used the google.... http://www.leancrew.com/all-this/2009/08/camry-smart-key-battery-replacement/
