Well, it happened. MS caved into the pressure and pulled a 180!
Looks like I will be getting an Xbox One and be able to stay with a brand I've loved since the start =)
I'm really excited for this generation now. The playing fields have been leveled and PS will have a fierce competitor!
Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy PS and the exclusive games it has but I prefer the feel of the Xbox (reasons that will remain unlisted because every time I do it entices a fanboy war -_-). I will eventually get a PS4 when the price dropped as I did with the PS3. Till then, ta-ta!
Like I said in other threads.
Microsoft has burned their bridge, and it will take a lot to get me fully back. PS4 will be my main console of choice, and I might (after the price drops) get a xbone for its exclusives.
I just don't know if I can fully trust them anymore.
So, you're choosing the console who's GPU is 40-50 % less powerful than the PS4's and has only 5 GB of DDR3 RAM accessible by games, compared to the PS4's 7 GB of GDDR5 RAM (3 GB / 1 GB respectively, reserved for OS use) and I guess you don't mind being stuck with the hard disk Microsoft chooses for you (with PS4, as with PS3, you can install any HD you like).
Hmm! You really must be drooling over the prospect of playing Angry Birds using the Connect controller . Us, here in the PlayStation camp, prefer the great value and "state of the art" graphics that will be eminently possible with the PS4 (now that the hardware architecture is a cakewalk for developers)!
If my words of wisdom have had no effect on you, be prepared to be seriously envious of the games you could have been playing!
I agree, this is most likely a ploy at getting their as much of their consumerbase back as possible, then, a few months after launch...BOOM! Restrictions are back with a vengence, but it's too late then, they'll have your money.
What we witnessed before this was them jumping the gun a little I think.
Goodluck to ya!
