I took the extra ones that my mom wasn't using but I think she paid $20. I know she took some back before that cause I think those were $50 and I tried to explain she didn't have to pay the high price for HDMI cables.

I use Monoprice typically for stuff like that.  I think they're 2 bucks there, as well.

The "Monster Cables" are a rip off, I'd only buy those if I had money to waste, & even thsn I'm not so sure.

I usually pay around $8.00 - $10.00 for my HDMI cables.

????? how did yall pay so little?

the guy at best buy told me the ones for $799.99 were top of the line, so I took out a loan to pay for them. Did I make a mistake?

6Ft.  $19.99

Of course it was not "high" quality, but most of that is BS anyway.  Don't forget the Gold plated ones too.  Unless you are running on some crazy expensive, up to the minute, before it's time HD TV, the cable should not break the bank.

Don't buy into the hype the salesman will give you either.  When it comes down to it, know the specs of your "system", read the specs, if any, on the back of the cables you want and go from there.

If you want to spend $200 on a cable, then that will be your choice.  I can tell you this though; my most recent cable is the one above.  I have two other devices with HDMI, for which I bought an expensive cable first, a less expensive cable second.  All three devices, with cables of varying "value", all produce the same picture and sound quality (although I go optical on my audio in preference).

Bottom line; on the third cable, I went as cheap as I could find.  Granted, my TV is a DLP from 2004, running 1080P at its highest, and I don't even know the Mhz, so don't ask.  If I had a newer TV, I might have spent a little more on the cable, but not much more.

Hope this all helps you in some way.

$0.96 for 6ft

Yep...less than a dollar.

EDIT: Can't say what the shipping was, since I ordered a few things along with that cable. And yes, the cable still works perfectly after almost 3 years.
