Question about buying an up-convert dvd player on Ebay

15 replies 5 views Edited Aug 24, 2007
My regular dvd player just busted on me so I figured now is the time to buy an upconverting one for my 32 inch 720p hdtv.  I saw this one at the store and liked the features but the price was much too steep.  My question is can I view movies in full-screen 16:9 with it and will it be hd with the cables shown?  If not can I buy some hdmi cables off of amazon for 10 dollars?  I can't see spending 100 on monster where I can get a 3rd party for 10 bucks.

No.  In order to get the full use out of that(Full 1080i), you'll need to buy an HDMI cord.

What about 720p?  I know that the 360 does hd with component.  If I have some component cables laying around could I do 720p or do I need HDMI or special Component?

I'm not rich.  That TV cost more money than I had.  I'm going to be in even more debt to my dad after buying this dvd player.  Besides I don't think I would waste my money on a ps3 anyway.  Most of the good games are rated M.

most good movies are rated R. I guess there's no point in buying a ps3 or dvd player, just a WASTE of money.
