Because true democracy is 9 people in robes telling 300 million people they're wrong.

Yay, democracy!  <--sarcasm

You're right, Dr Gadget. Good thing the United States is a republic, not a democracy.

So my question is...

Why do all the Gay weddings have to be televised on national television?

Don't see the point in this, why do I care if two gay people decide to marry?? Am I supposed to be so ignorant and close-minded as to deny somebody else the happiness of marriage just because of their sexual orientation?

"Calling something marriage does not make it marriage. Marriage has always been a covenant between a man and a woman which is by its nature ordered toward the procreation and education of children and the unity and wellbeing of the spouses.

The promoters of same-sex “marriage” propose something entirely different. They propose the union between two men or two women. This denies the self-evident biological, physiological, and psychological differences between men and women which find their complementarity in marriage. It also denies the specific primary purpose of marriage: the perpetuation of the human race and the raising of children."

Fancy way of saying: "Marriage has always been between a man and a woman and we cannot possibly accept the idea of two men or two women loving themselves in marriage."

I just don't care to deny someone that freedom.
