It was $800 for a reason...you can spend good money once, or cheap money TWICE.

how old is your plasma and what model? newer ones shouldn't burn in. If they do put on the 'snow' (the grey black white static when an old tv has no cable) and leave that on for a few hours.

We just got that in the 26 of December, 2010. I've been running the pattern and I think it's gone now.

the only difference between plasma and lcd is lcd can not create a pure black so shadows will be patchy. but when it comes to repairing one over the other lcd is way cheaper because fixxing it means replacing a small segment of screen but to fix plasma for a line issue you need to get a whole new screen which can cost more than the original tv because it was priced to get rid of the junk. and if your wanting to buy a 3d tv just wait a cpl of years and you can get one that doesn't need some dumb glasses to view it. CES has several prototypes on display right now.

I don't run on commission or anything...I sell what I believe is best. I know what has the most returns and break downs. No one ever returns a plasma. I am honest with people. I wouldn't buy a samsung plasma because I have heard many things about them...but I would buy a samsung LCD in a heartbeat.

plasma's arn't returned for repair because people find out how much it will cost and then throw them out.
