Unfortunately, I only have an entry-level "gaming" PC:
AMD A6-3650 2.6GHz (OC to 2.9GHz)
    Radeon HD 6530D IGP
Hudson A55 southbridge (should upgrade)
8GB G.Skill DDR3 1600MHz (UC to 1536MHz)
WDC 1TB Caviar Black
Thermaltake TR-600P

No onboard or external ODD (not in budget, not needed). My case looks like this. I was going to go Intel, but it was too expensive.

Trust me.... I feel like I wasted money on my Titan's.... I hardly use them for anything remotely graphically intensive.

Haha, it's still amazing how quickly technology has jumped. About 5-8 years ago. 1gb of ram was plenty to run video games. And a 512mb videocard was considered overkill. It's been a while for this old loser.

Certainly not.

I have 2 GTX Titans in SLI.
Intel i7 3960X OC'd to 4.8hz
2-256GB SSDs in RAID 0 for OS and programs

6TB worth of HDD's for storage
32GB of PC-2133 RAM

All on one custom water cooling loop.... GPU, CPU, Mobo.

Great glory on high!  I've got a ThinkPad T400 from 2008.  I guess it's time to get a desktop now that I'm not moving around anymore.

And I'm waiting until Destiny comes out to get a PlayStation 4.  That should give Sony some time to work out any launch kinks that may be present.

You can't properly compare consoles and PCs. The technology utilized in consoles is much more optimized, more efficient, and designed to work together from the start. In PCs, you get a smattering of hardware...some of which may not be designed to work together.

With that said, most mid-level and greater PCs are more powerful than the PS4; however, since the PS4 is better optimized, the games will still look amazing. Also, if the PS4 can run games at 1090p and true 60fps, that will put it one step closer to PCs.
