Wow you got ripped off. some moron probbably bought a 80 gig and put his 40 gig in the box and returned the ps3/ was the box and dverything sealed up?
they might just be phasing out the old 80s with the new 80s... which are, in fact, the same as the 40gb with a larger hard drive.
they did release that statement a while back... something along the lines of "the 80gb ps3's are so popular, we've decided to just keep them!" and its very misleading since people are basing the assumption that both models are the same based on their hard drive sizes.
which is good because
most people don't pay attention
the first time, anyway."
Best Buy didnt take it back, they took our info and said they are filing it to corporate, the serial number on the ps3 was different that what was on the box. So they are filing a lost and stolen prevention thing.
THEY WERE COMPLETE **bleep**s!! Does ANYONE have any information on what i can do, who i can call, PLEASE ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
info: Bestbuy in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
PLEASE HELP if u have any numbers, any suggestions anything please HELP.
Just because they contacted Loss Prevention does not mean they won't do anything for you. I'm guessing they gave you a phone number to call to check back? I'd wait a day and call back.
Don't take this the wrong way, but if you're not an adult, definitely let your parents do the talking (right or wrong, it will help build credibility).
For those who don't know, Loss Prevention is a department at most retailers whose job it is to investigate theft, lost/damaged merchandise, accounting errors, and other forms of "shrink", both internal and external. The department is often made up of ex-cops so typically they'll be able to smell a scam a mile away, and if there have been any other incidences of internal theft at the Brampton Best Buy, not only will they know about it, but they'll likely have suspects.
PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ANY PHONE NUMBER for CORPORate or anytthing that will help me, pls reply.
