So 5+ athletic kids targetting a nerdy computer kid wouldn't result in him getting hurt? I'm not saying the kid has to break a bone to be "injured," he just has to "suffer damage."

They didn't make kids play dodgeball at my school. It was voluntary.

So, I don't see why a "nerdy computer kid" would be wanting to play anyway.

Besides, WE use to pick on the tallest/fastest/strongest kid. We wanted him/them out quick!

Dodgeball is just a little bit of fun. American football looks far more dangerous. Neither should be banned, though. While dodgeball encourages violennt behaviour, kids know it's just a fun game and as "less athletic" person, I enjoyed it as a kid.  **bleep**, there's no way anyone's defending why it should be banned so no discussion here.

Dodgeball is a great game. It's a shame that each generation of kids are becoming a bunch of wussies. The world as a whole is getting softer.
