Proud owner of a Slim 500 GB Ps3, a 3G/WiFi VITA and a Vizio 42" HDTV..

I'm buying a 3DTV, mainly so I can watch 3D movies at home without having to pay $10-$15 a ticket. 3D with glasses is the most cost effective way of doing it right now, sets without glasses are years away...

the conclusion was that the yellow pixel didn't really add too much to the picture

That's probably because there was no data for the Yellow Pixel in the first place. Your video formats, and even those TV and movie cameras only have RGB. The Yellow on those Sharp HDTVs must be interpolating Yellow pixel data from the Red/Green Channels.

Only when cameras, video formats, game consoles, and broadcast standards are updated to produce, include, record, render and display in RGBY then only we would see the advantage of that Yellow pixel.

Nice man congrats =D, I have a 32" vizio from 2007 that still runs like the day I bought it, I 've since bought a samsung plasma for the living room to play my ps3 on but for a 5 year old tv with older tech from 2007 the vizio still looks crisp.

You are right it is a great TV. I have had mine since 2008 and it has been great except for the on/off switch. This has been a problem for me since I bought it and with the extended warranties, have had it in the shop four times. When I turn it on, the VIZIO logo lights up white like it is supposed to but the screen is blank and I get sound.

After the last time in the shop, I have it plugged into a power strip full time and never turn it off ... just the power strip and that seems to have curred the problem of the power board getting burned out.

I just bought a new super slim PS 3 from Amazon and can't wait to see the graphics on the Vizio, I bet it will be great !

I also have a 42" Vizio that I bought from Sam's Club. The only thing wrong with it was the remote controller with a pull out keyboard died out on me 9 months later. I don't mind the glowing Vizio logo, but it's a great tv. I paid 900 dollars for it 3 years ago, I can't wait to get another one next year with my tax return. Maybe a 3D tv.

It's a nice TV, but I only go Sony all the way. :robotvery-happy:

I have the PlayStation 3D Display. I had a bigger one, but I like small ones for my room.

Dude, 3D on your 3DTV is way, I mean WAAAAY, better than on theaters! If you're going for 3DTVs, I say you get a Sony branded one. I have, like I said, a PlayStation 3D Display and my brother has a 40" (or bigger, I forget) BRAVIA 3DTV, and they are amazing! Also, unlike theater glasses, the 3D glasses are shapped for those who have glasses, like myself.

My first HDTV was a Vizio. Great quality for the price. I believe its an American company as well, though I'm not 100% on that so don't quote me.
