Music or no music in games?

I prefer no music. You can hear the footsteps of enemies with no music, and you become more focused without it. What do you think?

Well it depends.

For instance, I play CS: Source and Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror. Online games like that require total focus and complete concentration for most of the time. While other games I play like Gran Turismo 4, or any of Armored Cores, I plug in my earphones and listen to my iPod
There's one thing I'd like to point out as well. You know how there's no way to distinguish your post from your signature? Well, this is one of them.

I dunno. I turn off the games music and put on my own. I prefer to slay the enemy to some ska.

i thought the music on old video games was awesome

As everyone else said, depends.
Think before you act. It will save me the effort of correcting you.

I usually leave the music settings as is in my games.  I'm really indifferent.
