It ripped through Moore, Oklahoma it was a F4 Tornado with 200 miles an hour winds. I have a friend her ex sister inlaw and family lives in Moore, they lost everything. Prayers for the families.
I don't know of anyone who hasn't heard of this.
It's been all over my local news, and I live in California.
Very frightening to watch. They have to worry about tornado's there, while we have to worry about earthquakes.
I'm still waiting for our "big one." The 1989 earthquake was terrifying. And that is the worst one we've had here, since I've been alive.
Im originally from oklahoma, that general area actually, and apart from this one, which I wasnt in the state for, the biggest one I witnessed was the May 3rd tornado, I think it was 1993-1995 I dont remember exactly...and they are saying this one was worse.
Just some updated information about the tornado
It was upgraded to an EF5 and the death toll was dropped to 27 from 51 from what I heard from this morning due to them double counting the fatalities.
27 fatalities seems to be about average for a tornado of its scale but low compared to tornado fatalities from 50+ years ago.
Heard about this tornado yesterday. So sad and so tragic . Thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who were affected by it.
