Macs and PC's use the same parts now. The Core 2 Duo chip is the best out there for laptops. I don't quite understand what you need help with though.

Ah I see. Yes, this one is excellent. It wont slow down or anything. It should be able to take whatever he does (except for pro highend applications which require a strong graphics chip, the Macbook only has intel onboard graphics).

He should then get a refurbished Macbook from Apple.com and save ~$400.

Internet and Word processing is better on Macs, imo. It has the best browser, Safari and small things like saving pics, copying and pasting, and stuff is just faster. For word processing, Office for Mac is better then office for windows (I know...it's like wth?) also he has the advantage of using Keynote as a subsitute for Powerpoint (keynote produces better slides, easier, faster, etc.)

Like what? It seems to have everything I need. Safari 3 looks really good though, live widgets :smileysurprised:
