Linux

It requires a ton of money for their web hosting services and thousands apon thousands of man hours for each OS they produce. So my question is how do they make money? I find it hard to believe donations give them that much money, even though I gave them a 100$ donation I doubt alot of people do.

Web hosting? I think they have their own servers... Man hours? it's basically made by a community, people that just wanna code in their free time.... as for tech support, that's the community too. Extra money is made through corporate sponsers etc.

Ubuntu is kinda sorta supported by this rich dude....
companies that want to use linux, get it free, and pay the tech support.....

it's pretty simple yet complicated.

I doubt any gaming house is gonna adopt Linux just yet, MS still owns a lot of the market share, there have been some major games that have been ported to Macs. There are some people out there that actually attempt to make games compatible in Linux.
