20 replies 3 views Edited Mar 26, 2007
I thought this was pretty cool.

On the topic of Japan... Japan was hit by a 5.3 magnatude earthquake yesterday.

• Magnitude 6.9 quake off coast of Japan kills one, injures 193
• 5.3-magnitude and 4.8-magnitude aftershock temblors struck on Monday
• Meteorological Agency warns strong aftershocks could continue for a week
• Electricity restored to most homes after outages affected 160,000 households

Yeah.  Do we have something similar or what?

"WE" are attached to Canada and cover a huge portion of the earth's surface.  JAPAN is a TINY little sliver of a country on a fault line.  If an earthquake ever devastated US the way it can devastate the Japanese then the world just ended OR split open.

An earthquake.  An earthquake that is high enough on the rictor scale to shake the ENTIRETY of TWO countries on the planet ATTACHED to each other.  Yes.  You hit  high enough to shake ALL of that with anyhting that can be considered an earthquake and you've shattered the tectonic plates.
