It's nearly that time of year again..

...when the Forums will become pretty busy, busy with "newbies" (new owners) who received their PS3's, PSP's & PS VITA's for Christmas, & trust me, they'll have all sorts of questions.

Some will have very basic ones, some not so, but they will have questions, as once did we, there will be posts in the wrong section, there will be duplicates, & yes there will even be some that got their PSN ID wrong & want to change it, yes, we know they can't, there will be, well, you get the idea!

What I'm trying to say is, a large number of us, at least the regulars anyway, know our way around our PS3's, PSP's & VITA's very well, we know what goes where, why this does that & why we can't do this & that, others will not, but that's partly why we stay here to assist others & maybe have some fun along the way too.

So in the spirit of Christmas, I'm asking everyone of us to try our best to be patient with these new owners, lets welcome them to the Community, remember the first person who responds to a post will be the first interaction they have with this Community, it can make or break their experience with us, lets try to make that first experience a good one, let's also try to help them out as best we can, & if we can't maybe we can point them in the right direction, maybe one or two will even like this Community & the help & advice they received from us & decide to hang around a while, we can all make that happen.

Lastly remember one thing, we were all new to this stuff once, now they are.

Happy Christmas Everyone, new & old alike.

(P.S. I don't usually double-post but on this occasion I have posted this in the Forum Information & Help Forum too, hope no one (apart from moble that is)objects!

No flaming?  No trolling?  No spamming?

Well this will not be a very Happy Christmas, now will it? Smiley Very Happy

In all seriousness, I catch your drift BRIT.  My first experience here was not so great.  Not everyone is as salty, thick skinned or thick headed as me though, so I understand what you are saying.

I will try and take it easy on the lads and lasses.  I figure I owe you that favor for helping me out in the beginning.  Who knows, maybe we will finally find my doppelgänger! Smiley Wink

Oh, I have my critics as well.  I try to ignore them though.  Don't let em flame you, I have learned that the hard way.  I think some people are on here just to get a rise out of others.

They tend to pick one person and ride them.  I think they hope they can get someone kicked, and be able to take credit for it.

Some people.... Smiley Frustrated

Edited, removed what you did from your original.  Didn't want to have a faux paus by proxy. Smiley Wink

Is that who says that all the time?  I have seen that a few times, but I was unaware the same person used it so much.  I think he has hit me with that one before.

Just shoot this one at him..Smiley Wink

Yeah, haha. Is there a way to completely block him from seeing my posts or threads at all? I know you can do it through PM but anyway on the forums?

Not that I am aware of.  Once it is out there, it is out there.  Unless you delete your posts on your own, but then no one sees them.

Unfortunately there isn't rramsdell, just PM's like you said.

If you think it's harassment then report the PSN ID to the Team here.
