Re: If you won the lottery

Apr 26, 2013

Pay off my mortgage. Pay off my immediate family's mortgages. Pay off all/if any remaining bills/debts.

Then take a week long vacation to Disneyland with my family. On me.

Other than that, nothing would change. I would still continue to work and I wouldn't buy a mansion, fantastical cars, or extravagant things -- just because I was a multi-millionaire. It would just be nice knowing I have that kind of money in the bank, and never would need money again.

The result is a long line of swindlers showing up at the winner's door, each trying to pry as much cash out of the cow before the cow runs dry.  There are entire industries designed to perform a cash-ectomy on anyone they decide has too much money.  No matter how much money you have, there is someone out there trying to sell you something for that amount.

So BronxSushi had the perfect plan: Disappear and hide until the swindlers lose interest. Smiley Tongue

Re: If you won the lottery

Since it takes a few weeks to get your money, I would wait until then. But I'd probably buy a new car - BMW M3 Coupe.

And then I would go to New York City for a week and see everything there.

I'd buy a nice house in San Jose, and then maybe another house to rent out and make extra income.
